 Ran into this using GCC 5.4.0. I was able to correct the problem by
 recompiling GCC with `#define _GLIBCXX_USE_CXX11_ABI 0` changed to
 `#define _GLIBCXX_USE_CXX11_ABI 1` in
 `libstdc++-v3/src/c++11/functexcept.cc`. (Didn't even need to rebuild
 Paludis; yay dynamic linking.) Looks like this change will be included in
 GCC 7, but the 5.x and 6.x series will not be fixed.
