[paludis-user] updating kde in different slots

so what I found out to only update kdesdk:kde-4

package_mask.conf:
    kde-base/kdesdk-meta

package_unmask.conf
    kde-base/kdesdk-meta:kde-4

seems quite inelegant to me. is this the right way to do it?
